Ruth 1-
First of all, I would like to apologize for the fact that I haven’t blogged in about 100 years. It is a long story involving a keyboard malfunction and the fact that it is a lot harder to get motivated to blog when I am forced to do it in a computer lab rather than the comfort of my own room…yes I am a bit lazy.
That being said…today was wonderful. I turned 21, and I had some incredible people to celebrate the day with. I am so blessed with wonderful friends and family. Yes my friends did kidnap me and blindfold me, but…I can definitely live with that.
On birthdays, one tends to take a moment to evaluate one’s place in life. It is a good day to wonder…is this where I am supposed to be right now?
Today, I felt that the resounding answer to that question was “yes.” I truly feel that I am exactly where I should be at this moment.
Also fitting for a day like today, my Bible reading took me to the book of Ruth. Ruth’s story is absolutely one of my favorite in the Bible. Her story is, basically, very simple. It contains no great battles or declarations from God. It does contain a lot of faithfulness. Ruth’s life proves to me that God makes use of a person who simply chooses to follow him through every stage of life.
Ruth also proves that we should never even try to guess God’s plan. Ruth’s life must have looked unlike anything that she ever would have expected…but it was still so good!
